Where can I find help for school clothes for my children?

In Atascadero you can always contact the LINK at 466-5404 and they will assist you in making the right contacts, however for children under 12 you can contact the "OPERATION SCHOOL BELL" at 462-4254. At that number you will get an answering machine, if you leave your number they will return your call.

Both Medical (Call 1-800-322-6384 for a providers list) and Healthy Families (Most Dentist Accept) provide Dental Help. In addition in North County you can contact "Clinica De Tolosa" at 238-5334

What is available for my child with special needs?

Parents Helping Parents of San Luis Obispo County is located at 6005 Capistrano Ave, Suite A, in Atascadero. This organization is made up of parents of children with special needs. They focus on families of children from birth to adulthood who may have developmental or learning-related issues.  If your child has a disability or a delay, you may feel anxious and lonely. Family, friends and professionals offer help and support, but our parents can honestly say. We've been there.

Services available include:
        *Parent to parent matches by phone or in person
        *Two lending libraries with books, video and audio tapes on a wide variety of parenting and special
                 needs issues.
        *Packet of information on special needs
        *Educational workshops, social gatherings, resource meetings
        *Online Research
        *Information on Special Education
        *Community outreach, including a Speaker's Bureau
